Adopt an Olive Tree

Tre_Olive_tree

Remember when adopting a star was all the rage? You could own a little piece of the sky or give someone the glittering gimmicky gift. It’s a romantic notion, with no tangible benefits. And that’s why I’m loving Tre Olive’s new program. For $110, you can adopt an authentic olive tree in Southern Italy for one year. You’ll get a beautifully-wrapped certificate of adoption, a photo of your tree which is tagged with your name, and three liters of your very own extra-virgin olive oil.

Miniature Mad Men

Mad Men Betty Draper DollSince the season finale just wrapped, I’m not the only Mad Men devotee who will be going through withdrawal til the new season next summer. In the meantime, I can recreate the drama of Sterling Cooper in my own home with these collector Mad Men Barbie Dolls!

Featuring the two alpha females of the show, Joan Holloway and Betty Draper, these collector dolls aren’t just for kids. Dressed of course in spot-on 60′s fashion, these dolls make a great collector’s item or just look snappy displayed on a shelf. They’re designed in the old style of Barbie, before there ever was a Ken or Malibu beach house. They’re a great keepsake for any little girl or pop-culture loving-adult. Stay tuned for Don Draper and Roger Sterling to make an miniature appearance.

Spaghetti and Meatballs… Oh, and Halloween

watch

A few weeks ago I showed you a few  sneak peek photos of my video interview with Simon Doonan, Creative Director of Barneys. He has created a super fabulous Halloween collection for Target. Now, you can watch me chat with him about his Costume Couture collection. Watch the video HERE. (My dog Reese fully steals the show… She’s modeling one of his pet costumes. Doesn’t she look positively edible dressed as spaghetti-and-meatballs.)
